Coastal Snippets February 2025

Welcome to 2025!

We should know better than to invoke the ire of Mother nature. For the past two years we have bemoaned the lack of summer heat. Well, after three consecutive days of high 30’s (feels like the surface of the sun) temperatures, and more above 30 degree days predicted in February, we won’t be doing that this year. Instead, we are enjoying the warm welcome to 2025 and hoping that the rest of summer gives us a bounty of sun filled days.

Unlike us, our gardens aren’t loving the heat as much. Despite the spectacular thunderstorms we have also been having, things are still dry and our gardens have slowed down in defence. Due to this dormancy, the Coastal team has reined back to a basic maintenance schedule.

However, while basking in the summer heat, we also need to keep in mind that the shortening days are a sign that Autumn is just around the corner. With the change of season will come more rain and an increase in garden growth. This also brings an increased demand on our scheduling, so if you have any garden plans/dream projects for Autumn, please contact us and let us know now.
